my staff request for COMPASSIONATE LEAVE. every staff entitle to have COMPASSIONATE LEAVE for 10 day a year.
1 of my staff had request for these leave due to her wife give birth and he get 3 days leave. after 3 day the baby pass away and he continue the COMPASSIONATE LEAVE for another 3 days.
my problem is how many day he can get from the COMPASSIONATE LEAVE if in our LOI mention COMPASSIONATE LEAVE is not more than 10 days.
HR wanted to cut his salary and they only approved 3 COMPASSIONATE LEAVE. do you think HR have a right to cut his salary?

Your company seems to be very generous with compassionate leave. Well, it is 10 days, why approved only 3 days? Discuss with the Labour Office, see what they have to say about it.

Yalo, your company really generous to give employee 10 days compassionate leave, this is the most i heard in my career life, so good.

In our hand book stated the use compensation leave such as
Parent / sister / brother / couple / child dead - 2 days
Grandparent dead - 2 days
Parent-in-law dead - 2 days
Hospitalisation of the abovesaid family members - 1 day
Wife give birth for male staff only - 2 days
Better state cleary in a document, avoid arguement later
The company did give us PH, AL, MC... somemore CL 10 days.... wow...
