Re: Mileage Claim

My monthly income is RM2.3k. As per my letter of offer, I am entitled to claim mileage if I am needed to use my own vehicle for official duties.

I am required to go to exhibition centre from time to time (whole day exhibition). Therefore, I have always been submitting mileage claim from home to exhibition centre and the boss did not say a single word. My average claim is RM200-300 per month.

Until in the month of July when my mileage claim shot up to RM 600 becoz there are a about 10days of exhibition. Then now she reject my mileage claim from home to exhibition centre.

When I tried to discuss about the mileage claim, she said I am very demanding and difficult, asked me to resign and get a new job.

Now, she's holding my claim (from July till September). Is it legal for her to hold my claim since July?

And they did not bank in their EPF contribution to my account until I made noise. They reimburse me in cash from the month of Apil till July this year. After that, they still have not contribute into my EPF acc as what they have promised. What should I do?

It is going to be quite difficult. about your mileage claims. You can sue if you want. About EPF, you will have to complain to EPF.

Could I complain to EPF even after they have reimburse me in cash?

It is up to you to decide. EPF might not be happy with your arrangement. Ask them.

Now I am fighting for my mileage claim. But the boss is so unhappy she asked me to leave immediately. Could I report about this?

You mean she sacked you with immediate effect? If so, you will have to consult the Industrial Relations Department see what sort of action you can take.

Well, when I highlighted to her that it is unfair to hold back my July claim till now or till my last day of work, she asked me to go immediately after send her a resignation letter by today or tomorrow.

Since you have put in your resignation, so be it. Go and get a new job. Try to get her to pay all your mileage claims and go happily. No point fighting, I suppose.

I have not put in resignation. Because I worried they refuse to pay me after I put in letter. So I am still thinking what to do now.

They are waiting for me to put in letter then only will pay me. As for me, I am waiting for them to pay me, then I will put in letter and go immediately as they wish.
I doesn't want to fight too. If they pay me in full, I will just let it go..
