Re: Not declared as Mandatory Public Holiday

My company HQ is based in KL.
I based in Selangor office, but the company refuses to give Public Holiday - Nurul Al-Quran. The reason giving is "not declared as Mandatory Public Holiday as per company public holiday plan for the year of 2011".
Is it against the labour law?
