Re: Termination of Contract during probation period

Hi !

My probation period is 3 to 6 months and my company sacked me during my probation period by giving me 24 hours.

My monthly salary is RM2000 and there is only a termination of contract clause in my employment contract which says " one month salary in lieu of breach in contract".

The reason given to me is my performance does not meet their basic expectation and my available working hour does not suit the position.

Can I claim for 1 month salary as compensation?

You can make a complaint at the Labour Department or the IR Department if you are not happy with the sack.
