Re: Evaluation

My 3 month probation period was extended to 6 months. However I was not given anything in writing. There was just a short verbal discussion. When I asked for examples where I could do better, my questions were not answered. I asked for my KPI, these were not provided.

My evaluation was also not done by my superior (as per my offer letter). I was told my leader had changed. But I was not notifed of this either verbally or in writing.

I suspect now that my 6 month probationary period is coming to an end, that I'm going to be terminated. Can they do that?

Don't worry so much at the moment, just wait and see. They may even confirm you, who knows? If they ever terminate your service and you feel it is unfair, you can always complain to the authorities like the Labour Department or IR Department.

HR has given me a letter to sign notifying me that my probationary period is to be extended for another 3 months effective from the 9th of August. I stared work on April 1st and I just had a verbal review in the 1st week of July where I was verbally told that I was not performing. No details were given. No form was filled.

Today I was shown a form apparently filled during the July review. I refused to sign it. I was also sent an email saying that my leader has changed effective today.

I asked for the discussion to be minuted. But I noticed that only my comments were recorded. Again I suspect that I'm going to be terminated at the end of the 3 months. What do I do from here?

What you really need to do is to improve your performance from now on. Nothing else can help you.
