one more thing, i was just informed by the HR department that if anyone of the staff dont sign the agreement by tomorrow, their salary for July will be held back until they do so. can the company do such a thing?
the non-disclosure agreement has some ridiculous terms which even covers marketing strategies and know how and leads gained thru telemarketing process (close contacts of sales staff). it also says that the terms in the non-disclosure agreement will last for 10 years after a staff leaves the company and also says that the staff cannot work in the same industry for a period of 1 year from resignation.
if a staff cannot bring their knowledge with them, then where do they go work?
also is it legal for the mgmt to hold back the staffs salary just because they dont want to sign the document?
