Re: retirement age in private sector

what is the legal retirement age in the private sector?

Is it compulsory for employees who reached this age to retire?

There is no such rule for the private sectors. Depend on the policy of the company if there is one for retirement age.

if there is no such rule in private sectors so it means the company can set its own set of rules on retirement age as well as the compensation and or benefits if there are.

Not all companies are doing that. Normally, only very large and well established companies have comprehensive retirement policy.

Our company does not have retirement policy, but can our company issue a LETTER TO RETIRE to an employee who reached the age of 55?

Is this acceptable?

No, the employee should either complain to the Labour Department or the IR Department.
