Re: Increment Revoked After Resignation

Hi,

Back in June, my boss told me I was inline for salary adjustment effective 1st July payable end of July and letter will be out end if July as well. Amount was even mentioned verbally. However I've decided to tender my resignation on 18th July and immediately HR revoked the salary adjustment promised earlier by my boss.

Question is can I report this to Labor Dept as dispute? Prior to my resignation I did also ask if my adjustment will still be effective via SMS to my boss and he says yes but now HR seems to overwrite him. I no longer keep the SMS though, please advise my rights. Thanks :)

I don't think you can get the increment money. You can consult the Labour Office, no harm.

You can always ask for the number from the telephone operators.
