Re: Termination

May I know if under probation period, how many days should an employer give notice to a staff? We had given 2 weeks, but he appeal to leave immediately. We accepted and paid him full month salary. But later he filed a complaint to claim for 1 month pay. We did not give him any offer letter but during interview, we had mentioned that either party should give 2 weeks notice.

Kindly advise.

When there is no mention about notice period for termination of service, it is then 4 weeks notice or 4 weeks pay, according to the Employment Act.

I just worked with this company for 1 month . my manager give me a termination letter because of my performace not touch his requirements so he terminnat me. so until now i got no income. maybe i complain it ?

May, you better do so. Go to Labour Office.
