Re: What is 'unpaid leave'?

Hi Siew

1) Does the company has the right to reject and approve unpaid leave?

2) Can the company deduct his annual leave entitlement when he applied for unpaid leave? Only until he has exhausted all his annual leave, then he can term his leave as unpaid but this is also subject to the company's approval?

Of course can reject no pay leave, no pay leave is not a right. The company will not be able to function if workers can come or don't come to work as they like.
