Re: Unreasonable Superior

I have been working in this company for 10 years and for the past few years been getting unreasonable pressure from superior and now my heartbeat increases whenever I see his incoming email or telephone calls. Thus, I decided to resign as do not want to end up with heart attack. Pls advice if I can claim for any compensation fron the company.

If you resign on your own, you are going to lose all your rights. Don't do it. After having been with him for so long, you should have got used to his behaviour. Take things easy should help.

He was an expat and being placed here as a watchdog. Moreover, he was not my immediate superior but it was his style to push for things to be done in his way. I have been a good performer and thus he likes to challenge coz able to fulfil his urgency. Furthermore, he doesnt respect us and I just feel not worth it leaving because of him. How can labour law assist?

To find out whether you have a good case or not, I would suggest to go to the Industrial Relations Department, sit down and discuss the issue with one of the officers there. I may then know where exactly you stand.
