Re: 2009 Bonus

Our last year bonus is divided in two installment. 1st installment already get it on January 2010. 2nd installment will be paid on or before 30th June 2010, (this is the statement which stated in the memo).

My question is, I resigned this month (Match 2010). I would like to know whether i am entitle to the 2009 2nd half bonus? Because the company said i am not entitle to it. Is it lawful?

It that is the company's policy, then you are not entitled to it. Consult the Labour Department or the IR Department also if necessary.

There's no such amount stating on the contract if how much the bonus received by the employee. Hence, it depend on the company if they ill give it or not. In your case if the company make a memo that they gonna pay it in two installment basis you can still avail all the bonus.

Fight for it coz that bonus was based on your performance for the year 2009 not for the current year.
