Dear Sir

A staff is absent for 2 consecutive working days w/o prior leave or attempt to contact the employer. - can I dismiss her? - strong case?

if she come to work on the 3rd day with MC is it acceptable? or can I still dismiss her?

If dismiss her --- is it to issue her the dismissal letter immediately or can I send her back first and collect the letter of dismissal letter later cos' my HR director is on leave (overseas), I need to get the GM to sign the dismissal letter.

If you think you have a strong case, conduct a domestic inquiry first before giving her the sack.

Thanks for the advice.

We issued her a show-cause letter by courier but to-date she did not response to the sc letter neither attempt to call the company. Absent since 1st June and heard that she called ex-colleague that she stop work. Tried to call her several time yesterday - no pick-up hphone.

What is the next course of action?
