Hi!
I employed a personal driver who left after 2 months, giving just a verbal notice.I gave him a contract, which said that he needs to give me 1 month notice if he wishes to resign during the probationary period of 6 months.
Should I issue him a letter just to formalise things? And is there a government department that I should copy to in case he makes a false claim that i terminated him instead?

If you are worried about that, you can lodge a claim at the Labour Department against that employee for resigning without giving notice.
