Re: Resignation

Dear Kl Siew,

I am suppose to give 2 months resignation notice but the other company i was the offered the job wants me to join on either on the 20th april or 4th may 2011. They are willing to pay compensation to my current employer. I do want to leave in good terms but am confused in how to draft the resignation letter. Should I state that I am willing to pay 2 months sallary as a compensation to my current employer in order to be let go early or just write a simple resignation letter stating the date I would like to leave and wait for them to respond.

Discuss with your HR first and then write the resignation letter. Don't have to reveal the name of your new employer.
