Re: tender resignation letter in Feb

One of my staff tender her resignation letter in Feb 22. Our company request one month notice for termination. So if i counted her notice as 30days, her last day is 23 March. But if i counted by month the last day will be 20 March as Feb only have 28 days.
So, if her last day is 20th march, do i have to pay her salary on 21 March ( Sunday)? Or can i counted her last day on 23 March?

One month notice should be from 22 Feb to 21 March. As such, she should be paid up to 21 March.

so if her salary is RM2500. The calculation is: RM2500/26 days = 96.15
RM96.15 x 21 days = 2019.25
or
RM96.15 x 18 days ( deducted Sunday) = 1730.70 ?

No, it should be (2500/28) x 28 = 2500. She gave one month's notice, should get one month salary.

You mean to say she has already received her full month's salary for Feb? If you are only concerned with her salary calculation from 1st March to 21 March, it then should be (2500/31) x 21=1693.55. However, if you are using 26 to divide, your calculation (RM96.15 x 18 days ( deducted 3 Sundays) = 1730.70) should be acceptable to her.
