My friend got suspended without pay for more than 2 weeks, verbally informed it's 2 weeks but in the letter from HR mentioning the suspension date will be till further notice. He was informed to wait for the official letter. It's already more than 2 weeks. Can they terminate him during this suspension period ?

Thank you.
