Re: labour law protection beyond RM5,000

I just got below information from malaysian labour law document whci say labour court can hear case from 1500 to 15,000.Is this true?

I have pasted the complete law below.Plz clarify

So does it mean if salary is more than Rm5,000 can appoarch labour law?

 A new section ( section 69B ) provides protection for employees whose monthly wages exceed RM 1500.00 but do not exceed RM15,000 the Director- General of Labour is now empowered to hear complaints under section 69( 1 ) (a ) from this category of employees. However, section 69B ( 3 ) stipulates that the rest of the provision of the Act do not apply to them.

Was there a new amendment which I am not aware of? For what I know, Section 69(B) mentions 5000, not 15000. Please update me, if it is true. Anyway, for those who are over that ceiling and if it involves monetary claims, you will have to sue in civil courst.

Yes, I read that document and I think there could be a typo error. I asked you to confirm it with the Labour Department. You may let us know your feedback here.
