Re: salary and EPF not paid

I have a scenario here and would like your opinion. My company has not paid our EPF last month. The company is brand new and currently there are 3 of us working here. They claim they are not registered for EPF and therefore it has not been paid yet. It is already the 6th of July and we have not received our salary for June. They said they need to work out the amount of money to pay us and can only get back to us on Monday next week which is the 13/7/09. I'm not too sure if we will get our salary on that day either. They are just going to work out the amount to pay us. Can i confirm that the employer needs to pay their staffs latest by the 7th of each month? And our medical benefit is RM100 per year and we can only claim RM20 max per visit to the doctor. Can someone kindly help me out with this? I need to know if this Company is actually doing the right thing? I feel very cheated at this moment.

Your company doesn't seem to be doing the correct thing in not paying salary on time. If you still don't get your salary next time, complain to the Labour Department.

thanx for that. I'm planning to tender my resignation today. I need to serve a two weeks notice period as it is stated in my offer letter. If i'm right, the company needs to pay my full salary for the month of June and the 2 weeks period that I'll be serving right? If they do not pay me, what should I do? If i report to the Labour Office, do you know what's the time frame like before any action is taken?

If they don't pay, you complain to the Labour Office. Unable to say how long the case will take.

if employer not paid my EPF for few months, where can I sue them? Can I online to register for my case? Or must walk in to labour office?
