Re: Failure to pay EPF

Hi. I recently discovered that my firm has not been contributing to my EPF for the last 7 months!!!!

Can failure by the firm to contribute to my EPF be a ground for me to serve a 24 hour notice of termination of my employment?

Please advise.

You cannot do that. You can complain to the EPF.

Dear Liang,

Go to EPF and confirm first if indeed your Employer has not contributed. I've been facing problem with EPF where my staff contribution has not been credited to their accounts despite our cheque clearing!..
Clarify with your employer and if indeed they have not paid, than best to file a complaint with EPF.

Dear Sharon

Thanks for the advise. I just thought that the failure to do so constitutes a breach of contract.
