Re: Relocation

I am working for an outsource company but station at customer office (project A). I had been released from project A one month ago and left my colleague who came from oversea (HQ) for this project. My HR called me and indicated there is no suitable project locally for me and ask me to go oversea. They have not find the place just ask my reply. If I decline I must self resign. So far only verbal conversation even for the project release.

In my employment letter stated we may be required to be relocated anywhere in the future without restrictions. If we decline relocation our employment may be terminated.

My question is can I decline the relocation:-
1) although it has stated in the employment letter?
2) if employer can't tell the new location?

Please advise.

You don't have to act too quickly. Let them decide what to do with you first. Either way, it looks like they want to get rid of you.

I know my HR will call me again soon and will ask me the same question whether I want to relocate to oversea. If I decline, am I breach the contract?

The question now is whether you are willing to work oversea. If you really don't want to work oversea, then you will have to say no and face the consequences. If they dismiss you because of that, then you can fight a court case with them and let the court decide whether you have breached the contract or not.
