Dear KL Siew,

i am kindergarden's teacher. my salary is RM1200. im still under probation. and principal ask me to sign the rules ang regulation which content the notice of resignation need to give 1 month. some can not tslk something bad image to parent. i refuse to sign ,but the principal said all the teacher need to siign. they said will give me another letter of appointment after the probation peroid.

now, i would like to resign. this is because the pricinpal dedecuted my salary and said im broken english, do not know how to teacher, and something which the principal feel like nesseccary to deducted my salary. in fact, i am like what the pricipal said. but the principal purposesly to deducted my salary. and the prinsiapl do not show wat the deducted, the principal just deducted the full amount like RM300. i do not know whether im can take action against the principal.

i would like to know that whether im covered and protect under EA which the principal ask me to sign this rules and regulation? and can i resing in one day even the rules and regulation of the teacher mentioned need 1 month?? do EA stated the probation period need how many days??

Yes, you may go to the Labour Department and make a complaint about the salary deduction.

You cannot do that. You have to give a month notice unless it is stated in the contract of service that the notice period is one day.

but i do not sign any letter of appointment and go into the contract of service. im just sign the rules and regulation of kindergarden's teacher. whether the rules and regulation is binding?
