Re: Notice Period During Maternity

We have a pragnant staff who is expecting in 2-3 days time. She have tendered her resignation by giving a two-month notice.

My questions are:

1. Can her notice period run concurrently with her maternity leave? and
2. She has a balance of 6 days annual leave. Are we require to pay her annual leave.

1. It could be that she wants to use her 60 days maternity allowance to pay for the two months notice. Ask her. If there is any dispute, refer to the Labour Department whether it is alright for her to do that.

2. Annual leave balance is a separate matter, need to pay.
