Re: Salary for Resigned Probation Staff

Hi,

I've one employee who is still under probation period has tendered her resignation.

Her notice of period is 24 hours.

Does she entitle for any salary for 2 days that she has worked?

However, she has took 2 days advance leave during her employment. (Her commencement of work was on 15/04/09.

Please advise.

Since she only work there 1 1/2 month....i assumed the culculation will be like this ....leave entitlement per year / 12 months x 1.5 month.

Hi Cheryl,

In my opinion, yes. It should be culculated. But however, the common practice in MLY, most employer would not pay if its only 2 days. Plus she still under probation and I believed that her entitlement for advance anual leave for 1.5 months would not even reach 2 days. It's more like give and take in this sense. Whatever it is it has to be agreed by two party.
