Re: resignation

The company that I work has put in our confirmation letter that if we want to resign we must give 3 month notice. As far as I know according to labour law we only have to give 1 month notice. Can I break the contract leaving before 3 months?

You better don't do that, you may have to give 3 months notice. Why not you consult the Labour Department to make sure?

The company that I work has put in our confirmation letter that if we want to resign we must give 3 month notice. The main issue I face here is that I am not getting my salary on time, the company delays the salary by 2-3 weeks every month and currently I would like to leave the firm as soon as I can. Should I be serving the 3 months or is there anyway that I could leave the company immediately?

NORAINI,
YOU SHOULD NOT BREAK THE CONTRACT. YOU SHALL SOUNDS THIS UNSATISFACTORY TO YR EMPLOYER BEFORE YOU SIGN ON THE CONTRACT ; NOT AFTER YOU SIGN AND COMPLAINT AT THIS STAGE. TOO LATE...
