Re: part time job agreement

I am HR staff and i have been told to produce an part time letter that to be signed by to two foreign staffs to work as a nigh watch guard (they already work full hours during day time). The letter supposed to contains rules their need to follow and responsibilities that need to be carry out. It's like an agreement letter but not a full letter as the usual employment agreement letter. My questions:

a) Is there any format i should follow for this kind of letter?

b) Beside name and signature of the employees to indicate they willing to accept the job, responsibilties and rules written in the letter, anything else must be in the letter? is the HRD/HOD's signature required?

These two guys must be supermen and besides, it is not lawful requiring workers to work such long hours. I really don't know how to draft such an agreement that is not quite right.

How about as a separate part time job offer and agreement beside the day time 8 hours job. The workers agree to take up such job as well for additional income, is this legal?

I understand. Sometimes, it is good to have someone trusted to be around at the premises after working hours and the same time let them to have a chance to earn more. The intention may be good. But when things turn sour, there could be problems. Why not you get some advice from the Labour Department also?
