My company calculate Medical Leave on pro-rate basis and those who have exceeded their entitlement, the managment deduct such amount from the staff salaries.

As far as i know, there are no such things right? Once staff appointed, they shall entitled to 14 days for first 2 years.

Please advice.

Under the Employment Act, sick leave cannot be prorated, it is based on calendar year. If you are not covered by that Act, (meaning your salary is over RM1500 per month), you may have a problem. You may consult the Labour Department.

Do you mean that for those salary that exceeds RM1500 per month, their sick leave may be pro-rated?
