Re: Termination 24hrs Notice

I started work since 16th Mar 2009, this company doesn't have HR, only accountant doing salary payment. I was given a 24hrs notice termination today (31st). My letter offer mentioned the company have the rights to terminate me at anytime. After 2 weeks in the company, the boss summoned me into his room and told me he terminate me due to some complains but did not inform me what it is all about. Trust me, I did no nothing to make anyone angry of me. Should I go to IR or Labour Law?

You go to IR Department and claim for reinstatement.

Hi Siew! I just called Labour Law Office at Jln. Ampang, a guy said that I can't claim anything as my letter of offer stated 24hrs termination. Is there an employment act on this?

You go to the Industrial Relations Department and making a claim to get back your job. You don't go to the Labour Office (not Labour Law Office, Labour Office is the correct name). The Labour Office was right because your offer letter was worded in such a way that your service could be terminated at any time.
