Re: Termination if do not hit sales quota

I have joined this company for 10 years, now the market is very slow & it hit our sales market badly. The company can terminate a sales person if do not hit sales quota?

If your company uses that reason to terminate your service, you can always seek redress at the Industrial Relations Department. Meanwhile, just carry on as usual.

Nobody can force you to sign if you think the contents are not fair.

Was there any counselling done before the letter was issued? You shld inform IR office immediately and ask for advice as the company can also create a situation in which you left with no choice but to sign....
If you refuse to sign...the company can also termed your action as refusal to accept an official letter from the Company which is served in accordance with the law, Company’s rules and regulations and in the interest of discipline is a serious misconduct....something like that. Company sometimes do anything or create any rules they want just to terminate staff during this economic recession...what a world!!!

No counselling has been done. Just a simple discussion & ask why you cannot hit the quota & how you can hit the quota. Never give us a way or a solution to help on this issue.
