Re: working hours

sorry for so many question,
but i in doubt about the working hours.

For example, my company customer service W.hours is start from 8.30am - 7.00pm (1 hours lunch break), so total is 9hours 30min.

for OT, (6.30pm - 7pm) my company will pay a fix allowance as substitute for OT rate.

so i want to ask, for the appointment letter, the working hours should write 8.30am - 7.00pm or 9.00am - 6.00pm?

beside that how to consider 1 days resign notice??
if the staff give the notice today (15/02/2009), so the last day will be 16/02/2009 or 15/02/2009 (after working hours)??

For working hour, see (b) below

60A(1) Except as hereinafter provided, an employee shall not be required under his contract of service to work:

(a) more than five consecutive hours without a period of leisure of not less than thirty minutes duration;

(b) more than eight hours in one day;

(c ) in excess of a spread over period of ten hours in one day;

(d) more than forty-eight hours in one week:

For notice see Section 12(4) below:

(4) Such notice shall be written and may be given at any time, and the day on which the notice is given shall be included in the period of the notice.

this recenly, my company set a new law said any employee late to work 1 minute or more and more than 2 times per month, the warning letter will be issued. i would like to know, employer has this right to terminate any employee late more than 6 times with 3 warning letter? pls reply mea.s.a.p.. thanks®ards.
