Re: Medical leave

I currently work on shift in a company with salary more than 1.5 k, recently my superior told a new rule that if we are on MC or Emergency leave we need to call up one of our colleagues and arranged for a substitute ourselves before we can be off, and if we cannot find one we have to come to work . Is this correct of even legal i mean to force someone to come to work unless they can find a replacement for their shift even if on Medical. Can i be dismissed should i fail to comply even if i am certified sick by company panel doctor ?

Well, your supervisor is trying to take the easy way out by pushing the problems to the workers. You should first bring the matter to the knowledge of your HR about it. and discuss with them.
