Mr Siew,

An employee is being transferred to a subsidiary company as per the Company's rules. There is no new appointment letter from the subsidiary company. The subsidiary company pays his salary. What is the status of this employee with the parent company.

The employee should ask the parent company first. To me, if the subsidiary company pays his salary, EPF, SOCSO as well as other benefits, it implies that he is in every sense the employee of the subsidiary. They cannot deny that, can they?
