Re: Maternity leave


I have been working for this company since Feb2009 and found out i am pregnant on May 2009. Since i was not confirmed during that period, my company has informed me that i wont be entitled for maternity leave but currently i am still working for the company and my due date for delivery is end of Dec. I would like to know do they have the right to give me my maternity leave eventhough i have been working with the company since Feb without a confirmation? Do i have the rights to take legal actions against this?

If you don't get your maternity leave with pay by then, you can approach the Labour Department for help. Confirmed or not confirmed is not important.

I work more than 4-5 years for this company and my year end bonus was deducted because i taking maternity 60 days this year. the formula come in such way 365-60 days then equal to my working days for this year??? I need to know if they got the right to prorated my bonus in such way? My HR is telling me maternity leave is consider as leave of absence.

Afternoon. Just would like to find out if pregant din inform Employers, after 7mth baby abort, is it entile for maternity leave?
