I would like to know if a person doing hands on service and repair job who draws a basic salary of RM4,800 is entitled for overtime claim as per Employment Act 1955? Is this considered manual labour?

What if a manager drawing that amount of salary, not personally doing the service and repair work but supervising a few technicians who do it, is this manager covered by the Act to be eligible for overtime claim as per 1st Schedule (2) of the Act?

You may argue that way see whether you can succeed in get paid for overtime. If the employer refuses to pay, the person can always make a claim at the Labour Department and let the case be decided there. In fact, I have given my views before in this forum. You can search for it if you have the time.
