Re: Overtime

Hi,

Just would like to check that is a company can force a staff to do overtime or work in our rest day.?

As my company did not pay me any overtime due to my position.

can we reject the request of doing overtime or working on rest day ?

thanks

It looks like the company is not being fair to you. Request for some compensation for doing such work. If they insist on not paying then it may be justifiable for you to refuse.

Yes, the company can do that and can even lead to worse consequences. You can take action in the event that you are dismissed for that. Use your discretion.

Hi Mr Siew, my company decided to change our working schedule to 5 days work a week and 2 days off a week. Our Working time is from 10am-10pm, included 2 hours break time. Just wonder how many hours of Overtime should i entitle to get from company?
