Re: BONUS PAY ON RETIREMENT/RESIGNATION DAY
Referring to our employment contract, there is a retirement allowance and sometime they give to the employee who is resigning from the company calculate based on their year of service.
Q : Case 1
Staff with 2yrs service resigning on December 2004 received their bonus for that particular year when completes duty. But, another staff with 28yrs service and retired by the age of 60 on November 2004 did not get bonus, as she service from January - November 2004 before the retirement. The Employee mentioned that the staff did not complete 12mths service, and the bonus only be paid if staff still working on the 1st December 2009.
Q : Case 2
How to calculate a standard pro-rate bonus, if we normally received 1month annually bonus (depending on loss/profit of the company)? The staff wages is RM1600/-.
I dont have any qualification on HR matter. Just assisting the Manager on HR, but since the employees always referring to me. Please clarify and advice me what should I do. ty.
