Re: OT

For calculation of OT, what is the ordinary rate of pay? is it
1) RM2000/(26/8) or
2) RM2000/actual days for the month

If an employee works on his rest day, his OT pay should be times 1 of his ordinary rate of pay if he works from 8 to 5
ORP x 1 x 8 hrs, is it correct for monthly paid employee

OT and working on rest day are not the same. For working on a rest day, the person will get 2000/26 for that day. OT will only come in if he is required to work after 5pm
