Re: Resignation Notice

Hi KL, we are a 5days week company. A staff has balance of 13days annual leave and she is suppose to give 1 month notice for her resignation. She wants to use this 13days annual leave to off-set part of her notice period. If she tendered her resignation letter on 26th Oct, should her last day be 10th Nov? Or should it be 6th Nov (not inclusive of the Saturdays) since our company is on a 5days week concept? Thank you.

The Employment Act says the employee is entitled to his leave before the termination takes place. So, I don't think she will take leave on days which are her off days.
