Re: Annual Leave During Probation Period

Just want to confrm with you whether staff under probation can take pro-rate annual leave or not?

Let say new staff joined the company on 10/8/2009. His Annual Leave Entitlement is 24 days for his grade level. What is the correct calculation for his annual leave? Is it

1) No. of day service / 365 x Annual Leave Entitlement , or

2) 8 / 12 x 24 days

It is up to the company to allow prorated leave or not. Just use fingers to count: 12 months you get 24 days, so work one month you get 2 days. Forget about those formulas.
