Re: Special school holiday on Fri 18 Sep 2009

Minister of Education just announced a special holiday for Fri 18 Sep 2009 to enable parents to prepare for the coming Raya holidays this coming Sun. Does this special holiday declaration also apples to all kindergartens? Are all kindergartens privately owned and run, expected to follow this ruling by the Education Minister or can they open for business on this Friday 18 Sep 2009?
Appreciate your speedy advice. The boss of one privately owned kindergarten says it does not need to follow the Education Minister's announcement.
Many thanks.

It is only for government schools and private kindergartens don't have to follow if they don't want to.

In my own opinion, though it was declared by the government but it doesn't mean that its for government sector solely. Were leaving in one community suppose everyone must cooperate unless your school don't have any Islam that possibly celebrate the said occasion. What for is the aim of being 1 Malaysia.
