Although it is not illegal but the staff still has the right to complain to the Labour Department or the Industrial Relations Department.

For one thing, if the other party thinks he has been treated fairly or given a fair deal, he may not complain. The following may be just some points to consider:

1. You said job redundancy, why was he chosen to have service terminated? Did you follow the principle of "last in first out (LIFO)"? Was it because his too old, salary too high and so on?
2. Was he paid the necessary termination and layoff benefits?

Notwithstanding the above, the company reserves the right at all times to terminate your service forthwith if you should be found guilty of misdemeanour, misconduct, negligence, or a breach of any of the existing terms and conditions of service or rules and regulations, expressed or implied.'
so that if i want to terminated him within 24hours can or not?thank you for your advice.
