Hello,

Can an employer impose emplyees to take leaves in only two tranches per year?

E.g. Entitlement: 14 days annual leave
Must be taken in 2 continuous chunks only, say, 1-7 May & 1-7 Sept.
Not allowed to take leaves in this format: 1-3 May, 15-18 May, 1-2 Sep, 15-19 Sep.

Not under statutory provision. It sounds unfair to the employees. If you are forced to comply with it, you can file a complaint at industrial relations dept.

I'm working in this company alraedy 1 year plus from Aug 2008 till now should I'm have 8 days annual leave right but in HR dept saying that the leave is calculate after 1 year services.mean that I'm only have annual leave from Aug 2009 start,it is right.
Please comment.We ready need the answer urgently.
