Dear Sir

I inform my bos on the 3/8/09 that I am resigning and my last day will be on the 29/8/09 does this consider my notice of resignation is not complete? do i need to pay them or wil my salary be deducted?

If it is one month notice, your last day should be 2/9/09. You better work up to 2/9 to avoid any payment for short notice.

On the related subject, My termination notice is 2 months. I tendered on 20 August 2009, therefore legally my last day should be 19 October 2009. However my employer asked me to leave early on 31 August 2009 without compensating me my 2 months salary.

My employer mentioned that they cannot pay me for not working and literally said that there is no point keeping me either for 2 months. hence refuse to pay. My salary is above RM 5000.

do I have a case to win my 2 months salary if I bring them to court?

Mr Siew,

The point is I did inform my bos I got to leave KL to JB on 31st Aug 09 and can you shown me the calculation for deductiing the short notice? I am doing the payroll, I would like to leave the company in a good manner.

To Gary: Get a lawyer to write a letter of demand to the company, " pay up or see you in court".
