The company requests the staff under the probation period to serve 1 month notice for the resignation? And her monthly salary is RM1,800/-.
If she tender the letter on 1st Aug 2009 and taking emergency leave in between the serving period , let's say about 10 days, is her last day still remain 31st August 2009? Can the company insist her to serve the remaining 10 days ? Please advice

Yes, the company can ask the resigning staff to serve the 10 days where EL taken. But I think both the boss and she will be more than happy to accept a deduction on the final month's salary instead. Unless he/she hasn't got a new job yet.
