Re: Deduct as MC or hospitalisation?

I have a staff who badly injured his right arm while working part time job and was given 'Sijil Cuti Sakit' from General Hospital from 8/July - 2/Aug(26days).

If the injury happened not at his full time job's place, is it means he's not entitle for the hospitalization leave of 60days? if yes, is it mean i should deduct the 26days from his balance MC of 17days, then 9 days balance as AL? Please advise.

You mean part time job with another employer?

Then you should consult SOCSO as to who should be responsible for his injury.

Thanks KL Siew, Labour office said that i should treat it as 'Hospitalisation Leave' no matter where he was injured. Only problem is he can't make socso claims from his full time job.

Did you tell the Labour Office that the accident happened while working for another employer? If you had, then just follow what the Labour Office said. Luckily, he didn't die.
