If you are not a registered voter, they cannot force you to take leave. In my opinion, If you are going to vote you may have to take your own leave to do that. Your better ask the Labour Department about this.
If our company can only apply leave after 1 year service, and whichever worker that would like to vote on 8/03/08, they can apply their annual leave, how about those service below 1 year, if they apply leave, can company pay them unpaid leave? If can not, what is your suggestion?
