My grandfather has passed away last week and i was absent from work yesterday due to the ceremony. My relatives has given me a copy of my grandfather DEATH CERTIFICATE and saying that company may not deduct from my annual leave with this cert. Please advise

That death cert. may be good enough for you to prove you had a good reason for that absence. If there is such benefit like compassionate leave in your company, the cert. will serve as proof. If there is no such benefit, you company may treat the absence as paid annual leave, which will be deducted from your leave entitlement.
