Re: Termination due to fake qualification

Dear Sir

We have employed a staff last week and will terminate him any moment after verification of his fake Degree. Do we still need to pay him wages for the few days he worked with our company? Your advice is appreciated.

I wonder how long you will take to verify his degree. If it is proven that his degree is a false one, then you can dismiss him without notice. But you will have to pay his salary for the number of days worked. See Section 21(2) of the Employment Act.
