We are taking a new girl as general clerk and the job function was not so much. With mutual agreement, the girl was hired on permanent basis but with half day work (8.30am - 1.00pm from monday to friday, location at Sabah). in this case, are we going to offer her according to our company policy as HQ or following to the Employment Act of Sabah? As the Employment Act in Sabah are different, can you guide me or is ther any relevant website that i can access for their act ? thank you.
The provisions in the Sabah Labour Ordinance are more or less the same as those in the Employment Act. I don't have the Sabah Ordinance in this website but you may refer to the Sarawak Labour Ordinance which can be found here (under item "FAQ/References" in the Home Page). Both are almost the same.
