Re: Termination and lay off benifits (Need urgent reply)

I work at a factory under "Receiver and Managers Appointed", now the factory had been sale and i had been terminated. I work as a material control officer and need to control some workers who carried out the receiving and distribution the material (use forklift truck), unloading material from container, arrange material delivery schedule and such on. My salary is around 2.8k. I want to ask, is I entitled to received any termination benefits payment under Employment Act 1955 and the Employment(Termination and Lay Off Benefits)

You are not covered by the Employment Act and Employment(Termination and Layoff Benefits)Regulations 1980. If your service is terminated, you can use it as a guide when you are asking for some benefits from the receivers. Have the receivers made any offer for payment of some benefits to you when when they terminated your service? If not, I would advise you to consult the Industrial Relations Department.
